Boulder Creek is a community of lovely home sites nestled in the foothills of the Southern Appalachian Mountains. As you traverse the winding gravel roads you will frequently sight deer, rabbits and yes the occasional black bear. Many of the sites look out upon the Nantahala National Forest, the largest of North Carolina’s four national forests. The forest encompasses over 530 acres with 600 miles of trails, perfect for hikers, mountain bikers, horse-back riders and off-highway vehicles.
Boulder Creek is located in Murphy, NC and is only a short drive from downtown. Murphy is the county seat of Cherokee County with its origin dating back to 1839. You’ll feel as if you traveled back in time as you experience the tree-lined streets, historic buildings, unique shops and restaurants.
Recreational activities in the area are unlimited from local trout streams, biking, golf, fishing and boating, whitewater rafting is nearby plus an abundance of antique shops, large flea markets, numerous craft shows and historic points of interest.
Surrounded by nature’s beauty you’ll soon discover the charm of small town America still exists. This is a place where you and your family can enjoy the peace of the mountains. So whether you are looking to tame the wild rapids, listen to the sounds of a rushing stream or search for treasure in one of the many shops this area has it all.
